Local Community Artist

Bill Firth

Welcome to my website which contains a number of my recent paintings and some selected sketches from when I was an architect.

A brief description of my life; I was born in Sydney, Australia, and I worked in the building industry prior to studying architecture at the University of New South Wales where I obtained my Bachelor of Architecture.  I founded the practice of Bill Firth & Partners in 1969, which grew to become a major practice in Australia. This was the beginning of an extensive and respectable career both in Australia and in Asia.  I have always been passionate about art and architecture, and would sketch and design buildings to how I might envision them for myself.  Now, in my retirement I have re-discovered art and taken up painting. I consider myself to be a local community artist.

I hope that you enjoy visiting my website celebrating my artworks, designs and sketches and my life’s work.
Thank you

Bill Firth

Beauchamp Park Chatwood

During the second world war and before these trees were planted the artist Bill Firth played in this park with his cousins. It represents some of his earliest childhood memories and how life and the world can change.
