Midnight Mist
The painting depicts the view from a cave in the Blue Mountains looking down into the misty canyon below. As a teenager Bill camped in the cave which had an iconic dance floor built into where weddings were held many years ago. The cave had a small waterfall shower and was a truly beautiful and tranquil location. The cave is now off limits to the public. Poem by Laura Manipura: "I sought you in the morning mist, The fog shifting and swirling round, Though I knew you were near to me, Your voice was a dimly heard sound."
